Decom offers short courses on the practice of Television Journalism

The UFRN Department of Communication (Decom), linked to the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts (CCHLA/UFRN), has open registration for mini-courses on the theme Between the market and academia: Telejournalism in practice!. In total, 80 places are offered, 20 for each day of activities. The event's target audience is undergraduate and postgraduate communication students. Registration can be made until October 20th, via Sigaa.
After confirming registration for the event, participants must choose the day of the short course they wish to participate in in the open registration tab, selecting the event. The meetings will last approximately four hours, starting at 2pm, and will take place at Decom's TV Laboratory. Between the market and academia: Television journalism in practice! is an extension event that aims to bring together professionals who already have extensive experience in the local television market with University students.
The mini-courses will be on a subtopic related to the main theme, which is Television Journalism in practice, and will seek to present and start a discussion on a specific subject. The action aims to encourage students to learn more about an area of interest and thus have an overview of the topic covered.
The meetings will be mediated by journalist and Decom professor Francisco Júnior. "It is expected to be a very practical course, with basic notions being able to be taught to the students, so that we can then do the practice: recording in the studio, according to the theme of each mini-course. This practice will be accompanied by professionals who will give guidance, tell a little about their trajectory and propose corrections to the students during the recordings", says the teacher.
Regarding the content of the course, Francisco explains that the characteristics of the language of television journalism, vocal exercises to prepare for recording in the studio and reading texts for television will be covered. “Next will be the practical part and, finally, the analysis of the recordings”, explains the professor.
