Deart promotes new edition of the Mostra Palavrar a Liberdade

The Department of Arts (Deart), at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), is holding the III Word of Freedom – Cycle of Dramatic Readings between the 21st and 24th of May. The auditions will be held by theater groups from Natal, actresses and actors, directors, artists in training, students and teachers from UFRN arts courses.
The event takes place from 7:45 pm, at Teatro Jesiel Figueiredo, in Deart. Passwords will be given 20 minutes before each presentation. The idea of ​​the cycle is to promote, over the course of four public readings, the reading of dramatic texts and stimulate listeners' perception.
In this edition, texts were selected that address freedom in its various senses: freedom of expression, freedom of choice, political freedom, freedom of sexual orientation, etc. The aim, therefore, is to provoke reflection on the scope and limits of freedom in the current historical context, based on the themes addressed by authors such as Oduvaldo Vianna Filho, Millôr Fernandes and Anton Tchekov.
