Deart promotes event in honor of Circus Art

The Department of Arts (Deart), of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), promotes, on September 8th, at 6pm, the event Circus, permanence and memory: tribute to Dedé Santana. The celebration takes place in the Otto de Brito Guerra auditorium, in the Rectory. Registration is available through Sigaa.
The event aims to enhance the memory of circus art by paying tribute to one of the most active clowns in the Brazilian circus. Actor and director Dedé Santana has dedicated more than 80 years to promoting circus art through cinema and television. In addition to the tribute, the program includes the launch of the book “Os Trapalhões: a reading of Brazilian popular comedy”, by professor Dr. André Carrico.
