The Dialogic-performatic residency: singing for you, from the Department of Arts (Deart), of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), promotes, in its fifth edition, the residency Improcesso 5 – Dramaturgical dialogues in improvisation, which will begin its call for 20 places from April 29th to May 29th. Interested parties should send an email to lealpatriciadanca@gmail.com with two paragraphs justifying their interest, with a brief biography. The results will be released by June 15th.
The Improcesso event is a biennial artistic residency with a national call, coordinated by Prof. Patrícia Leal (UFRN), which promotes the study of the language of improvisation and its possible dramaturgies through the performative exercise of dance and art. The event provides interdisciplinarity, interfacing not only the artistic languages of dance, music and theater, but also targets areas of undergraduate studies, researchers and arts professionals.
This fifth edition, which will take place for the first time in a remote format, will enable performers to share with guests in Jam Sessions about the performance and language development of improvisation. The activities will be broadcast through the digital media of the coordinator @oficialpatricialeal (Instagram and YouTube), and also on the digital media, page and YouTube channel of Museu Câmara Cascudo.
The residency has a program of workshops that runs until November 25th.
