DAS promotes rapid testing in reference to Red December

The Directorate of Public Health Care (DAS/UFRN) carries out actions related to the Red December campaign, a month to raise awareness and combat AIDS. The program consists of conversation circles and rapid tests for HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B and C, as well as conversation circles in the DAS waiting room. Rapid testing takes place on December 9th and 12th, starting at 1pm, by prior appointment by calling 3342-2330 (Extension 371). Places are limited and aimed at the community in general, with priority given to the university community.
Rapid testing is permanent at UFRN, through the Health Counseling Program (PAS), which every month promotes care for the diagnosis of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B and C. In 2019 alone, more than 1,700 tests were carried out and approximately 900 people were served by the month of November.
