CRDHMD holds 8th Training Cycle in Human Rights

The Marcos Dionísio Human Rights Reference Center (CRDHMD) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), in partnership with the Applied Psychology Service (SEPA), will hold, on December 2nd, at 7 pm, the 8th Training Cycle in Human Rights: Mental Health and the Prison System. 100 places are offered with a two-hour workload. Registration can be made through SIgaa. The activity will be carried out in the format of an online round table through the CRDH Marcos Dionísio channel on YouTube.
The event will feature the participation of Pedro Paulo Bicalho, professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and President of the Regional Psychology Council of Rio de Janeiro (CRP/RJ); and Andressa Ferrari, worker at the Psychosocial Care Network (RAPS) and participant in the Pro-Mental Health Movement of the Federal District. The panel will be mediated by Gustavo de Aguiar Campos, social psychologist at the Human Rights Reference Center – Marcos Dionísio (CRDHMD/UFRN). The round table will last 1h30m, with speeches by guests and subsequent debate with listeners and will feature a Libra interpreter.
The Center operates through four lines: psychosocial care and legal guidance for people in situations of violence or rights violations; consultancy and assistance to social movements, monitoring reports of violence sent to hotline 100 and education in human rights. The activity entitled 8th Training Cycle in Human Rights: Mental Health and the Prison System is part of the human rights education line and aims to discuss the impacts of incarceration on mental health and the violation of the rights of people deprived of liberty.
