Cooperative donates 80 copies of book on moralism

The Cultural Cooperative announces to interested parties the donation of 80 copies of the work Malditas Defesas Morais, by the philosopher Cinara Nahra, professor in the Department of Philosophy at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) and master in the area of Moral and Political Philosophy, with several scientific articles published, in addition to lectures and conferences given in the area. In the book, the author questions “moralistic” prejudices, that is, moral ideas that are not justifiable and that are becoming obsolete.
In the narrative presented by the philosopher, many crimes were and still are committed in the name of “morality”. However, the author emphasizes, “no action should be morally reprehensible, unless it harms others”. For the author, the freedom and social well-being of each individual must be respected.
Cinara Nahra considers morality that is based on the interests of some and that takes precedence over others to be unjustifiable. Not even one that is in no one's interest and only represses desires. “A perverse morality can be equally immoral as any other type of oppression”, highlights the preface of the work.
Donation
Those interested in the book should go to the Cooperative reception to receive their copy.
