The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) announce that those interested in participating in the III AFROLIC International Congress, with presentation of work in symposiums, must register by June 30th.
The III AFROLIC International Congress – Association of Teachers of African Literature – takes place between the 29th, 30th and 31st of July, on the central campus of UFRN. The event has a theme focused on literature, inequality and education.
The symposiums propose to discuss, based on African and Afro-Brazilian literature, issues related to ways of combating inequalities generated by prejudice, racism and discrimination in the classroom. More information about the event by email at afrolic2019@gmail.com.
