Communication and power is the topic of a round table at DECOM

The Department of Social Communication (Decom) at UFRN promotes the round table Veins still open in Latin America: media and power, this Wednesday, December 4th, starting at 4pm, in the Decom auditorium. The activity is carried out by the Eduardo Galeano extension project for Latin American Studies and Research in Social Communication.
The panel will feature the participation of professor Leticia Gambetta Abella, from the Universidad de la República, Uruguay, professors Adriano Medeiros Costa, Arnon de Andrade, and will be mediated by Antonino Condorelli, all from UFRN.
The event will be an opportunity to discuss the relationships between power structure, resistance and media in the current situation on the Latin American continent, thinking about the current political conflicts resulting from attacks on democracy through coups d'état, the rise of Christian fundamentalism and threats to democratic institutions in countries such as Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.
