Superior Collegiate approves creation of the Ágora Institute Library

The proposal to create the Sector Library of the Ágora Institute, linked to the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts (CCHLA), was approved by the UFRN Board of Directors (Consad), on the afternoon of this Thursday, April 13th. The space becomes part of the UFRN Library System, with the aim of providing informational support for foreign language and culture activities.
The creation of the library is justified because it is a space for sharing knowledge, providing pedagogical support and promoting scientific knowledge. The place was planned since the creation of Instituto Ágora, with 50m² of built area, internet access, area for group study, technical processing room and librarian's room.
In this sense, according to the creation proposal, the expected result is to increase the level of interest in reading and the library; encourage the use of the library as a leisure resource, helping students learn languages; and transform the library into an environment for communication and socialization between teachers and students. The space will be open to the public from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 12pm and from 2pm to 8pm.
