UFRN Reading Club debates work by Gustave Flaubert

The Book Banquet project, through the UFRN Reading Club, promotes debate on the work “Three Tales”, by the Frenchman Gustave Flaubert. The event takes place on September 29th, at 4:30 pm, in Auditorium D of the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts (CCHLA). Registration can be done via Sigaa.
The work, which was Flaubert's penultimate, looks at different situations ranging from 19th century France to Antiquity, addressing the theme of sanctity and animality. Furthermore, the book highlights the author's style and aesthetics, as well as the context of French modernism.
The event is coordinated by professors Rosanne Bezerra de Araújo and Carlos Eduardo Galvão Braga, both from the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures (DLLEM). Students Lucas José de Mello Lopes, Vinícius de Morais Medeiros Praxedes and Joice Bezerril Moreira also collaborate.
