Electronic and popular music circuit UFBA/UFRB/UFRN

The 10 Dimensions Laboratory (DEART/CCHLA/UFRN) will hold, from the 16th to the 19th of May 2017, the Electronic and Popular Music Circuit (UFBA/UFRB/UFRN), Exchanges and Mediations, in partnership with IHAC-UFBA and CAHL-CECULT/UFRB in the cities of Salvador, Cachoeira and Santo Amaro), in Bahia, in the form of a cycle of meetings addressing research and/or surveys on electronic and electrified experimental music performed by the three institutions involved. It will also present to the public for the first time the electronic Mini-Paredão, a simulator model of the Electronic Paredão Project.
Three round tables and a conversation circle will be held with musicians and researchers with a view to a prospective debate on electronic and/or electrified sound-digital devices in the Northeast, particularly the Paredão socio-technical arrangement and its exchanges with the electronic experimental music scene. The aim is to exchange ideas and exchange information between institutions, with a view to better understanding and contributing to a brief overview of ongoing research involving the relationships between experimental music, electronic music and electrified sound devices in the Northeast.
