Cine Tiresias brings lesbian pride and visibility as its theme

The Interdisciplinary Center for Studies in Gender, Sexual Diversity and Human Rights, (Tirésias), at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), organizes the edition of Cine Tirésias – Pride and Lesbian Visibility, showing the film As Filhas do Fogo (2008), by Albertina Carri. The exhibition takes place on Thursday, August 15th, at 6:30 pm, in Auditorium D of the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts (CCHLA).
Cine Tirésias is an outreach action open to the entire community and seeks to debate issues relating to the human rights of the LGBT population. This edition will be dedicated to lesbians, due to Lesbian Pride Day and Lesbian Visibility Day, both celebrated in August.
In addition to the screening of the film, which features the adventures of a group of women in search of their own eroticism, the event is attended by debaters Cristina Diógenes, a master's student in Social Anthropology at UFRN, and Larisse Rodrigues, professor at the Department of Social Service (Desso).
