Cine-Club Lumière debate about Borom Sarret film

The Lumière Cine-Club Project, from the UFRN Department of Literature, presents new session-events, which begin on August 27th, at 5pm, with a debate on the film “Borom Sarret” (1963), by Senegalese director Ousmane Sembène.
The film, one of the first films made on African soil by a black African director, tells the difficulties experienced by a cart driver in Senegal and raises fundamental social issues such as poverty, class struggle, racism and exclusion in cities.
To fuel the debate, the project brings to the virtual room professor Oumar Diallo, from the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (Senegal), a researcher in the field of French and Portuguese, and a great admirer of Ousmane Sembène's work.
Registration must be made through SIGAA to receive the debate link and receive the certificate with the course load. For more information, visit the project's social networks on Instagram (@cinelumiereufrn) and Facebook (@CineClubLumiere)
