Last Tuesday, the 24th, the fifth and final meeting of the Cycle of studies on text revision for beginners took place. At this meeting, the cycle's learning journey consolidated essential knowledge for the participants and expanded discussions on text revision. Over the months, the cycles carried out provided a broad understanding of the importance of textual revision in our society, in which written communication plays an important role.
The last cycle of studies included the participation of Rodrigo Pessoa, reviewer and coordinator of Editora IFRN, who enriched the meeting with an experience report in the area of text review. Furthermore, the event had practical review activities that were coordinated by Êmili Rossetti, reviewer at Agecom (UFRN), Karla Oliveira, reviewer at CCHLA (UFRN), Wildson Confessor, reviewer at EDUFRN, and Fabíola Barreto, reviewer at Sedis (UFRN).
The practice brought participants different reflections on the linguistic standards necessary for reviewing texts, which are relevant to face professional challenges in the area. The constant updating of professionals dedicated to working with the text, necessary due to the dynamic changes in the language, was approached carefully, ensuring that participants were always up to date on the best revision practices.
With the conclusion of the fifth cycle, the project is heading towards the culmination of its activities: the 1st Colloquium on Text Revision, scheduled for December. This final event represents the closing of this learning chapter and a crucial space for the exchange of ideas and experiences.
