The “Area of Classical Languages and Diachronic Studies”, of the Department of Letters (UFRN), invites everyone to participate in the conference cycle entitled “ÉDIPO REI – TRANSMISSION, TRANSLATION, RECEPTION”, which will be held on December 3rd and 4th, 2018.
At this meeting, we will have the opportunity to listen to experts from different areas discussing the way in which Aristotle, Seneca, Friedrich Nietzsche, Sigmund Freud, Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze, Félix Guattari and F. Hölderlin embraced Sophocles' tragedy, written around the year 427, taking it as a founding discourse for fields of knowledge and as a space (re)vealing major questions involving language and subjectivity. It will be an event marked by interdisciplinarity and also by the focus on the effects that classical work still produces in the contemporary world.
Registration for the event can be made via followa or on the day of the event (public internal and external to UFRN).
