Education Center holds Education and Democracy Debate Cycle

The Education and Democracy Commission of the Education Center (CE), of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), invites you to the first debate of the Education and Democracy Debate Cycle extension project, which will take place on Tuesday, May 14th, in two sessions (at 4pm and 7pm), in the CE parking lot, with the theme: Cuts in the university budget: background and developments.
The EC established its Education and Democracy Commission as a response to the Democratic Education Action launched by the National Association for Research in Education (ANPEd) in October 2018, with the aim of stimulating activities that focus on the relationship between education and democracy.
The Cycle of Debates proposed by the Commission, which will have three more editions throughout 2019, aims to promote freedom of expression, the appreciation of diversity and the exercise of dialogue, aiming at the integral and civic education of its students, realizing the ideal of the public university as a space for the democratization of the right to education and knowledge.
The event is aimed at specialists with the intention of enriching the discussion with in-person and distance learning degree students and teachers from public education networks.
