The Yellow Fever Vaccination Campaign at UFRN arrives at the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts (CCHLA) on March 8th. The vaccination point will operate in Auditorium C of the Center's administrative building, from 8:30 am to 11 am and from 2 pm to 4 pm, and will be open to the entire community of employees, contractors and students.
The yellow fever vaccine is not recommended for pregnant women, breastfeeding women or immunosuppressed women. And it is completely contraindicated for children under 6 months; people with immunodeficiency of any nature, HIV carriers, solid organ transplant recipients and severe allergies to chicken eggs, erythomycin, sucrose and other components of the vaccine.
For the elderly and people with moderate or severe febrile illnesses, it is necessary to assess the potential risk of adverse events in this age group and/or resulting from comorbidities. The ideal is to talk to your attending physician.
