The Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts (CCHLA) promotes the film screenings of La Movida Almodóvar. The short film Salomé (1978) and three feature films are shown at the exhibition: Pepi, Luci, Bom y otras chicas del montón (1980), Laberinto de Passiones (1982) and Entre Tinieblas/Maus Hábitos (1983). The sessions take place starting this Tuesday, the 29th, and will continue until the 31st, in Auditorium 1 at Labcom, with screenings at 7pm, followed by a debate with professor Rodrigo Almeida.
The exhibition La Movida de Almodóvar will show, through his first and little-known films, part of the work of the famous Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar (who turned 70 years old about a month ago). Such films are associated with the countercultural movement La Movida, which was born in Madrid and the main Spanish capitals after the death of dictator Francisco Franco in 1975, continuing until the mid-1980s as a manifesto of aesthetic and political freedom in different artistic languages.
The academic community and those interested in the subject can participate in the action. Registration is free via Sigaa.
