CCHLA gains new panel created by students in Oficina de Mosaico

The academic community of the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts at UFRN now has another mosaic panel, in the Center's entrance hall, produced by the artist from Rio Grande do Sul Wendell Santos Batista and his students, during the workshop “Mosaico Subjetividade em Ação”. The work will be inaugurated on August 19th, at 4pm at CCHLA.
The work of art was named “Cosmic Journey” and had the participation of five students in its creation. The panel's concept was based on Ana Mae Barbosa's triangular proposal and Paulo Freire's teaching thinking.
According to artist Wendell Batista, the process of creating the mosaic was a true journey between protons, neutrons and electrons that cannot be seen with the naked eye, represented by the subjective construction in the cosmic explosions present in the fractals throughout the work. Winged beings representing time, eternity, travel, the unknown and even displacement in space and time.
The work was produced by the artist from Rio Grande do Norte Wendell Batista and his students during the mosaic workshop and will be the new panel to be part of the CCHLA entrance hall. Photo taken from the NAC/UFRN website.
