Campaign reflects on the absence of employees for health reasons

Leave for health reasons among UFRN employees. This is the theme of the new video for the From January to January campaign, promoted by the Applied Psychology Service (Sepa), linked to the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts (CCHLA). This is the last audiovisual production of the project, which took place throughout 2022 and is available on the Instagram of Janeiro Branco at UFRN.
The person who will address the topic is nursing assistant Franciane Lima, working in the Quality of Life at Work Division (DQVT) of the Quality of Life, Health and Safety at Work (DAS) Directorate at Progesp. She studied the Removal from work from the health information system in the context of a federal higher education institution in the Professional Master's Degree in Institutional Process Management (PPGPI), with a dissertation defended in 2017. The work was supervised by professor Denise Rego.
For Franciane, absence from work or sickness absenteeism is a relevant issue in worker health, as it is a crucial problem for both workers and public and private organizations. “It is reflected in the well-being of the worker, in all spheres, such as family, work, social relationships, among other aspects, as well as in the quality of the service provided to society”, he highlights.
The From January to January project, which began in January this year, released videos each month that sought to contribute to improving quality of life and promoting mental health. The themes involved various subjects, such as: Mental health and graduation; Mental health and teleworking; Meditation and anxiety; Group psychotherapy for depression; Neuropsychology and mental health; Coping with violence and mental health; Occupational health and psychosocial care networks. Several researchers presented some of the studies developed at UFRN with a focus on the themes.
In addition to CCHLA – through the Department of Psychology and Sepa – the Biosciences Center (CB) – through the Department of Physiology and Behavior, the Health Sciences Center (CCS) and through the Department of Toco-gynecology – and the Communications Superintendence (Comunica) participated in the project.
