Decom hosts edition of CineQueer Talks

Next Thursday, August 24th, starting at 4pm, Auditorium 1 of the Department of Social Communication (Decom) at UFRN will host CineQueer Talks. This educational action is part of the seventh edition of Mostra Queer, in partnership with the Audiovisual Course. Registration is available through Sigaa.
The event aims to promote the exchange of ideas, exchange of experiences and contribute to the training of new directors, producers and artists in the State's Queer audiovisual scene.
The CineQueer Talks program features three prominent lectures:
1. Talk “Queer Narratives”: Di Gatti, director and curator of CineQueer, will offer a comprehensive overview of Queer cinematography from the last two years. He will discuss creative processes, thematic approaches, the inclusion of differences and the potential of new narratives in Queer cinema.
2. Talk “Lesbian Protagonism in Audiovisual”: Pipa Dantas, editor and founding member of Caboré Audiovisual, will present an overview of lesbian protagonism in audiovisual. She will address the challenges faced by pioneers, relevant achievements and the fundamental role of women in front and behind the camera.
3. Talk “Arlindo, from HQ to Audiovisual”: Award-winning illustrator Luiza de Souza, creator of the HQ “Arlindo”, will share insights into her creative process, the conception of the character, her relationship with the public, the awards received and the prospects for adapting the story to the audiovisual medium.
CineQueer Talks promises to be a unique opportunity for students, film and audiovisual enthusiasts, as well as the community at large, to engage in valuable discussions about Queer culture and its representation in the world of cinema and audiovisual.
