The Ágora Institute, linked to the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts (CCHLA), is open for new students interested in foreign language and Libra courses. Registrations can be made through Sigaa from this Monday, the 3rd, until 11:59 pm on the next Wednesday, the 5th. Both members of the community internal and external to the University are able to register.
This Monday, the 3rd, registrations are intended for students benefiting from the Dean of Student Affairs (Proae). On Tuesday, the 4th, it will be the turn of the public outside UFRN, and, on Wednesday, the 5th, the University's contributing students and employees will be able to register. Candidates have the option of registering through UFRN's Sigaa or through the Institute's official website.
The courses offered cover English, Spanish, French, German, Latin, Libras and Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PLE), the latter being exclusively aimed at foreign audiences, with a specific notice to be published. To participate in the courses, a semester fee of R$250 is charged. Students benefiting from university residence or housing or food assistance have the possibility of competing for scholarships. Other UFRN students can register as contributors.
Classes will start on August 14th and continue until December 23rd. Each language has several classes available, covering the basic levels of proficiency in each language. If candidates feel able to enter levels 2, 3 or 4, they must register at level 1 and take a placement test, which may be requested during the registration process. Members of both the University's internal and external community have the opportunity to enroll in courses offered by Instituto Ágora.
