The V HEIDEGGER Journey opens at CCHLA with the theme: Original love

Some beings manage to leave such an important legacy that, even after passing, their productions, deeds and/or thoughts and reflections continue to be worshiped, accessed or used by groups of people in different parts of the planet.
A specific case is the German philosopher Martin Heidegger, a renowned existentialist and known as one of the greatest philosophers of the 20th century, having been a teacher and writer, exerting a great influence on intellectuals such as Jean-Paul Sartre.
Several aspects of his thought have already been studied and shared by experts on the philosopher during conferences at UFRN. There was a short stop and now the event returns in its fifth edition, with the theme “O Amor Original”.
At the opening, Professor Dax Moraes, coordinator of the event, lamented that financial and some personal problems of the guests had caused changes to the program, announced some and opened the day, which continues until Friday, the 19th, with conferences and sessions, always starting at 2pm in the CCHLA/UFRN D auditorium.
The program is available on the website https://jornadaheidegger.wordpress.com/ and began with professor Juliano Rabello, from UNESP, speaking about “The ontological conception of the work of art in the thought of Martin Heidegger.
Participants, during the journey, will delve into several questions about the philosopher who was born in Messkirch, a small Catholic town in the state of Baden, Germany, on September 26, 1889 and died in Friborg, Germany, on May 26, 1976. Heidegger's philosophy is based on the idea that man is a being that seeks what he is not. His life plan can be eliminated by the pressures of life and everyday life, which leads man to isolate himself from himself. Heidegger also worked on the concept of anguish, from which man transcends his difficulties or allows himself to be dominated by them. Thus, man would be an unfinished project.
Some of his most important works are: “New Inquiries about Logic” (1912), “The Problem of Reality in Modern Philosophy” (1912), “The Concept of Time in the Science of History” (1916), “What is Metaphysics?” (1929), “On the Essence of Truth” (1943), “On the Experience of Thinking” (1954), “The Way of Language” (1959) and Phenomenology and Theology” (1970).
The Heidegger Journey's mission is to celebrate the memory of 40 years since the death of Martin Heidegger and is promoted by the philosophy department of the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts at UFRN.
