The Postgraduate Program in Social Anthropology (PPGAS) and the Postgraduate Program in Language Studies (PPGEL), from the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts (CCHLA), won the Capes Theses Prize promoted by the Coordination for Higher Education Personal Improvement (Capes). The notice made the winners public on September 2nd, when it also announced three other award-winning theses from UFRN.
The winner in the area of Social Anthropology was professor Francisco Cleiton Vieira Silva do Rego, whose thesis was supervised by professor from the Department of Anthropology (DAN), doctor Rozeli Maria Porto.
In the area of Reading and Linguistics, the winner was professor Alana Driziê Gozatti dos Santos, from the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) and member of the research group “Literacy and ethnography”, at UFRN. The guidance was given by the professor of the Department of Literature, Doctor Maria do Socorro Oliveira.
The other UFRN theses also awarded were in the areas of Psychobiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Social Work. More information about the award and the winners can be accessed by clicking here.
