The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) is holding, between the 1st and 4th of September 2026, the VI International Seminar Body and Creation Processes in the Performing Arts, which in this edition has as its theme Body and Memory: Crossings of/in the Scene. The initiative is promoted by the Research Group on Body, Dance and Creation Processes – CIRANDAR (CNPq/UFRN).
The event proposes to investigate the relationships between body, memory and scenic creation, understanding the body as a living archive of historical, cultural and affective experiences. The program will bring together training, experimental and reflective activities, articulating theoretical and practical research in the field of performing arts.
The proposal seeks to contribute to the development of research and creative processes in the area, encouraging dialogue between artists, researchers, students and the community.
The general coordination of the seminar is Professor Marcílio de Souza Vieira, responsible for the design, management and execution of the project. The deputy coordination is by Professor Robson Carlos Haderchpek, who works to support the academic organization and mediate activities.
