UFRN defends academic memorial for promotion to full professor in the Department of Geography

The Department of Geography of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (DGE/UFRN) will hold, this Monday (13), the public session to defend the academic memorial of professor Alessandro Dozena. The activity is part of the process of functional promotion to the full professor class.

The presentation is scheduled for 2pm, in the Technology Center (CT) auditorium, with in-person participation. The evaluation committee will be composed of Eugênia Maria Dantas (UFRN), Maria Luiza de Medeiros Galvão (IFRN), Christian Dennis Monteiro de Oliveira (UFC) and Eduardo José Marandola Junior (UNICAMP).

As part of the program, on Tuesday (14), the Colloquium “Humanist and cultural geographies today” will take place, from 9 am to 5 pm, in the auditorium of the Department of Geography at UFRN. The events are open to the interested public.

Graduated in Geography from the Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp) in 1997, Alessandro Dozena completed his doctorate in Human Geography from the University of São Paulo (USP) in 2009. Since 2010, he has been a professor in the Department of Geography at UFRN, also working in the PPGE and GEOPROF postgraduate programs. His research focuses on humanistic and cultural approaches in Geography. The professor is a CNPq research productivity fellow and author of reference works in the area.
