Geomemória is a podcast created by the group Geografia e Formação Territorial do Brasil (GEOFORM), with the aim of rescuing and preserving the history of the Department of Geography of Natal at UFRN.
In each episode, professors who have marked the Department's trajectory share their experiences, achievements and challenges faced over the years, offering a unique overview of advances in teaching, research and extension in the area of Geography.
The first episode welcomed professor Dr. Eugênia Maria Dantas, who brought an inspiring account of her academic and professional trajectory. During the conversation, she highlighted the changes in the academic scenario throughout her career at UFRN, covering everything from changes in pedagogical practices, access to academic production and even the consolidation of geographic research at the university.
For the project coordinator, Professor Hugo Morais, the podcast is a way of reconstructing the memory of the Geography department at Campus Natal based on the reconstruction of teachers' reports, emphasizing their contributions to the construction and consolidation of a geographic science in Rio Grande do Norte. “We are identifying in the memories of our colleagues the paths for building our science.”
Don't miss the opportunity to delve into the history of Geography at UFRN and the Department through the voices of those who helped build it!
