The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) promotes, between April 8th and 10th, the extension course “Investigating in Uncertain Worlds”, aimed at postgraduate students in the areas of social sciences, anthropology and public health. The proposal is based on the diagnosis that social sciences are increasingly called upon to act in contexts of uncertainty, such as pandemics, environmental crises and disputes over rights, for which traditional models do not always offer sufficient answers.
The training addresses ethical and methodological dilemmas that emerge when the research field is unstable, rights are in dispute and the role of the researcher is constantly questioned. With a studio format, the course combines theory, field experiences and collective production among participants.
