The mini-course “The collection goes to School”, an initiative of the Project “Thinking Images: collections and collections of Visual Arts”, organized by the Dean of Extension of UFRN (PROEX) and the Rossini Perez Institute (IRP), registration is open, through the link.
The event aims to train Arts teachers who are working in basic education in the public or private network. During the course, which will be held in a hybrid format, participants will learn about the artistic production of Rossini Perez (1931-2020), an artist and engraver born in Macaíba–RN.
Taught by Prof. Fabíola Alves (DEART-UFRN) and graduate students Ana Carolina Alves de Lima and Maria Luiza Tenório. The programming is organized into three stages:
THEORETICAL CLASS – 10/18/2024 (Friday) from 6pm to 8pm in online format (room/meet).
VISIT TO THE EXHIBITION AND THE IRP – 10/19/2024 (Saturday) from 9am to 12pm, in person at the Pinacoteca do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte (Pinacoteca Potiguar) for a mediated visit to the exhibition Desdobramentos: drawings by Rossini Perez and the Rossini Perez Institute.
ACTION AT SCHOOL – Until 11/20/2024 (Wednesday). Teachers who participate in the mini-course will receive a teaching kit consisting of a guidance notebook and 3 boards with reproductions of drawings by Rossini Perez. In return, teachers will be invited to develop an action at the school where they work and the results produced with the students must be sent by email to the mini-course coordinator.
In total, ten places will be made available, of which 50% are intended for Masters students and ProfArtes graduates. In case of demand greater than the number of vacancies available, there will be selection among candidates. All participants who complete the 3 stages will receive certificates with a total of 12 hours (5 training hours + 7 action hours at school).
