UFRN hosts meeting “Imagined Northeast: art, politics and the construction of citizenship in Brazil” in September

The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) will host, between the 9th and 11th of September 2026, the meeting Imagined Northeasts: art, politics and the construction of citizenship in Brazil. The event will be held in person, in Natal.

The Organizing Committee has an open call for submission of communication proposals for the Working Groups (GTs), in the form of a summary. Researchers, teachers and students interested in participating can submit their work between May 5th and June 19th, 2026.

Submissions must be made using the electronic form available at: https://forms.gle/C9JaFKD7Cfu5jj6S9.

The meeting aims to bring together researchers and students to discuss topics related to art, politics and the construction of citizenship in Brazil, from multiple perspectives on the Northeast.
