In November, the UFRN Secretariat for International Relations (SRI) holds a new stage of International Week 2026, with activities on the Seridó campuses and in the capital of Rio Grande do Norte. The program will take place on November 9th, at the Faculty of Engineering, Literature and Social Sciences of Seridó (Felcs), in Currais Novos; November 10, at the Seridó Higher Education Center (Ceres), in Caicó; and November 16, at the Technology Center (CT), in Natal.
With the theme Rhythms of internationalization: research, mobility and responsible cooperation, the event seeks to expand access to information about international opportunities and bring the university community closer to the possibilities of academic training, research and cooperation with foreign institutions.
The initiative also targets high school students from public schools and federal institutes in the Seridó region interested in entering higher education. The proposal is to bring these future university students closer to the reality of public universities, allowing them to learn about the academic experiences and internationalization possibilities that could be part of their trajectories.
Throughout the program, SRI employees, professors, students and representatives of international cooperation initiatives will participate in presentations, lectures, discussion tables and reports of experiences. Among the topics covered are the International Academic Mobility Program (PMAI), scholarship opportunities, cooperation agreements, learning foreign languages and the possibilities of studying and researching abroad.
In Natal, the program will also feature the Mobility Speed Date, an interaction activity with internationalization ambassadors, a cultural fair and presentations on academic opportunities in France and Germany.
The International Week 2026 reinforces UFRN's commitment to inclusive and accessible internationalization, strengthening the dialogue between universities and society and expanding students' academic and professional horizons.
How to sign up?
Participation is open to the entire community, and the process to secure a place is simple. In Sigaa, look for the Extension tab and then click on Online Registration under extension actions. After that, log in with your Gov.br account and click on Open registrations, looking for International Week. Select the day of your participation and complete registration. It is possible to participate in the event in person without registering, but it will not be possible to count extracurricular hours of participation or compete for the prizes drawn.
By promoting contact with different experiences, programs and institutions, the event seeks to demonstrate that internationalization can be part of university education from the first steps in higher education.
