UFRN opens registrations for study group on Simone de Beauvoir

Registration is now open for Filmo – Philosophy and Modernity Study Group, an initiative linked to the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) which, during the month of June 2026, will carry out readings and discussions on the French philosopher Simone de Beauvoir.

The work For a Moral of Ambiguity, published in 1947, will be the focus of the meetings promoted by the group.

The activities will take place on the 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th of June 2026, always from 4pm to 6pm, in Room C1 of Classroom Sector II, on the UFRN Central Campus. The meetings will be coordinated by Professor Ivan Rodrigues, from the Department of Philosophy at UFRN.

In total, there will be four meetings dedicated to reading and debating Beauvoir's work. Registered participants will receive a certificate with a 16-hour workload.
