The Postgraduate Program in Geography – Master's and Professional Doctorate – Geoprof, linked to the Center for Human Sciences, Letters and Arts (CCHLA) and the Centro de Ensino Superior do Seridó (Ceres), at UFRN, makes public the opening of the selection process for the Master's and Doctorate, with entry in the academic period 2027.1
This program aims at continuing training for Geography teachers who work in Basic Education and other Education professionals. His area of concentration is “Geography Teaching” and his Research Lines are “Geographical Knowledge in the School Space” and “Geography Teaching Methodology”.
ABOUT THE MASTERS NOTICE
Notice 003/2026 regulates the selection process of candidates for Geoprof, a Master's course, with 12 (twelve) places being offered for classes linked to CCHLA/Natal and CERES/Caicó.
The application for registration for the Master's Degree will take place between September 2nd and 21st, 2026.
For the Professional Master's vacancies, the following can apply: candidates with a degree in Geography and other degrees, with a Diploma or equivalent document issued by a national higher education institution. Candidates who have completed their studies and graduated as specified in item 6.2 of this notice may apply as long as they are Brazilians residing in the country or foreigners residing or with a study visa.
ABOUT THE DOCTORATE NOTICE
Notice 004/2026 regulates the selection process of candidates for the Geoprof, Doctorate course, with 13 (thirteen) places being offered for classes linked to CCHLA/Natal and CERES/Caicó.
The application for registration for the Doctorate will take place between September 2nd and 21st, 2026.
For the Professional Doctorate vacancies, the following can apply: Candidates holding a Master's Diploma or a certificate of completion of a Master's course signed by the course coordinator or Master's Defense Minutes certifying the Candidate's approval.
